Shield
Ultramarine blue and golden orange are the colors traditionally associated with Army Aviation. The hawk is emblematic of aggressiveness and the reconnaissance skills of Army combat aviators. The alternating rayed red and yellow chief is adapted from the state flag of Arizona and identifies the unit's home location and theater of operation.

The crest is that of the Arizona Army National Guard.
